Whatever brings you here, therapy can help you begin to untangle the patterns that keep you stuck so you can move toward greater clarity, connection, and growth.

Feeling Tangled?

Maybe your thoughts are constantly racing.

Maybe perfectionism leaves you feeling like nothing you do is ever enough.

Maybe you've spent so long taking care of everyone else that you've lost touch with what you need.

Maybe you're exhausted from carrying so much on your own.

You might recognize yourself in thoughts like:

  • "I can't turn my brain off."

  • "Why am I so hard on myself?"

  • "I know I'm doing my best, but it never feels like enough."

  • "What if something bad happens?"

  • "I overthink every decision I make."

  • "I don't know who I am outside of being productive."

  • "I'm tired of holding everything together."

How I Can Help

When worry feels constant and your body is always on alert, we’ll slow things down, understand what’s driving the anxiety, and build tools that help you feel safer and more grounded day to day.

If your mind gets stuck on upsetting, “what if” thoughts or rituals you can’t shake, we’ll create a space to understand what’s happening, reduce shame, and gently loosen OCD’s grip on your life.

When “never good enough” runs the show, we’ll explore where those standards came from, practice more flexible ways of relating to yourself, and make room for rest, joy, and being human.

If you’re exhausted, numb, or running on fumes, we’ll look at the pressures you’re under, reconnect with what matters to you, and find sustainable ways to care for yourself without dropping everything.

When it’s hard to focus, follow through, or slow down your mind and body, we’ll look at how ADHD and impulsivity show up in your daily life and build supports that actually work for your brain and nervous system.

We’ll explore how expectations placed on women, cultural messages, and your own history shape your mental health, and create space to care for yourself in ways that feel sustainable, compassionate, and true to who you are.

When you’re unsure who you are without your roles, achievements, or others’ expectations, we’ll gently untangle old stories about your worth and help you build a steadier sense of self.

If you see yourself in any of these, we can talk more in a free 15-minute consultation.

Focused therapy for women whose anxiety, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, burnout, or life transitions are starting to feel like too much to carry alone.

Meet Melanie

Hi, I'm Melanie.

As a therapist and recovering perfectionist, I know how easy it is to become the person everyone turns to—the one who keeps it together, checks all the boxes, and somehow manages to carry more than seems humanly possible.

From the outside, it can look like you're thriving. But internally, you might be battling anxiety, overthinking every decision, struggling to rest without guilt, or wondering why success never quite feels like enough.

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.

I work primarily with women who are thoughtful, deeply caring, and used to putting others first—women who have spent years learning to survive through people-pleasing, perfectionism, and hyper-independence. Together, we untangle the patterns that no longer serve you, strengthen the parts of you that have been overlooked, and build practical tools that support the life you want to create.

I don't believe therapy is about becoming a completely different person. I believe it's about reconnecting with yourself underneath the expectations, fears, and pressure you've carried for far too long.

My approach blends compassion with evidence-based strategies to help you reduce anxiety, navigate intrusive thoughts, establish healthier boundaries, and align your choices with your values. Because healing isn't about giving up your goals or becoming less ambitious.

It's about learning that you don't have to earn rest, prove your worth, or do everything alone.

You can continue to grow, achieve, and dream big—while also making room for joy, connection, and a life that feels sustainable.

I'm honored to walk alongside you in that process.

What Therapy with Me Looks Like

Think of therapy with me as a conversation with intention.

In our first sessions, we’ll slow down together, get curious about what’s been weighing on you, and gently notice the patterns shaping your life.

We’ll explore your experiences, beliefs, and habits while developing practical tools to support meaningful change. I’ll offer guidance, curiosity, and gentle accountability—but you’ll always remain the expert on your own experiences.

My goal isn’t to ‘fix’ you. It’s to help you better understand yourself, trust yourself, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you.

FAQ & Practical Details

Answers to some of the most common questions about working together.

What are your fees?

My standard fee for individual therapy is $150 per 50-minute session. I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee spots; if cost is a concern, we can talk about options during your consultation.

Do you take insurance?

I’m not currently in-network with insurance. Many clients choose to pay out of pocket, and I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I’m happy to talk through what this might look like for you.

How long are sessions?

Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. We’ll decide together whether weekly or biweekly sessions make the most sense based on your needs and schedule.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes. I offer secure online therapy for women located anywhere in Colorado, so you can meet from home, work, or wherever feels comfortable and private.

Who is a good fit to work with you?

I work best with women who are thoughtful, motivated for change, and open to looking gently but honestly at their patterns—even if they feel scared or unsure where to start.

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?

It’s completely okay to feel unsure. Our first conversations are a chance to explore what you’re going through, ask questions, and see how it feels to work together—there’s no pressure to commit if it doesn’t feel like a good fit.

What is your response time?

I personally manage all communication for Untangled Therapy, so you will always be reaching me directly.

I do my best to respond to messages within 1–2 business days. That said, I also prioritize maintaining a sustainable caseload and practicing the same self-compassion and balance that I encourage in my clients, which means response times may not always be immediate.

If you reach out over the weekend or during busy clinical days, I appreciate your patience and will get back to you as soon as I am able.

Please note that email and messaging are not monitored for crisis support. If you are experiencing an emergency or feel unsafe, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

If you’re feeling tangled and ready for support, I’d be honored to talk with you.
